Who we are

Working with People since 2013

AELIA is a competence & capacity building organization founded in 2013 that began as a social venture focused on employability and entrepreneurship. Over time, it has evolved into a dedicated Learning & Development (L&D) Agency.

We built our own approach

Drawing on its extensive experience and driven by the passion and commitment to continuous learning, AELIA has developed a unique people development approach characterized by being: (a) Adaptive, (b) On-the-job, (c) Action-based, (d) Caring, (e) Technology Driven & (f) Personalized. This approach has led to the creation of proprietary methods and L&D activities.

We have our own L&D Toolbox

Furthermore, AELIA has developed its own L&D Toolbox, which introduces original elements into traditional L&D methods, including asynchronous guidance, gamified challenges, and curated intra-mentoring. The toolbox also adapts conventional training and development methods, such as workshops and mentoring, with AELIA's proprietary learning and development techniques.

The AELIA people undertake 3 core roles: (a) as L&D Instructors, (b) as L&D Designers and (c) as Leadership team. Several members perform more than 1 role.
​​​​The AELIA programs are meticulously designed by our L&D design team and delivered by a group of L&D Instructors—including facilitators, adult trainers, and mentors—who bring diverse professional backgrounds and a shared passion for people development.

Our Journey

From Social venture to L&D Agency

As a social venture, AELIA designed and delivered innovative people development programs, which were sponsored by esteemed foundations, universities, public institutions, and leading Greek corporations. Additionally, several prominent public and private institutions entrusted AELIA with the design and implementation of employability and entrepreneurship acceleration programs.

We started on the field in 2013 supporting diverse individuals, in diverse business fields, within diverse professional environments. We started as a capacity building social venture.

It was on the field where we explored the challenges of professional development and where we discovered the spectrum of diverse cognitive requirements of the world of work and of entrepreneurship. Since 2013 we have run workshops, mentored people, set-up communities for mutual development support. We also studied, consulted experts and created our own L&D models which we tested out on the field.

Thus, gradually and naturally, we evolved into a learning & development agency for organizations with the required knowledge, with a tested-out innovation capacity as well as with a valuable maturity which enable us to tackle key L&D challenges for employers, freelance professionals, and entrepreneurs.
