🎉 Happy International Mentoring Day! 🎉 A few thoughts on the AELIAN mentoring approach, inspired by the International Mentoring Day!
At AELIA, #mentoring has always been at the heart of who we are. For 12 years, we’ve championed the transformative power of guidance, advisory support and care - as core elements of the Aelian mentoring - to support people in their professional growth and make them ... blossom!
Our dedication to mentoring started from our roots as a nonprofit to our evolution into the dynamic company we are today.
🔹 In our early days, as nonprofit, mentoring was our core activity in our employability support activities, supporting individuals in navigating their professional paths.
Back then, the #aelian_mentoring approach, anchored in care, active listening, advisory support and action-based guidance—offered by our dedicated mentors (like Faye, Sofia, Konstantinos, Yiouli, Mara, Vangelis, Thomas) -- empowered people to make confident decisions and turn them into reality. Apart from our mentoring consultations, we even offered a 24/7 #power_up_chat, ensuring support was always just a message away.
🔹 These last years, as the new AELIA, we continue this legacy with a fresh perspective. Now as a professional services agency, #mentoring defines the learning and development programs we design and deliver to businesses, helping them upskill and empower their teams.
🤗 Several mentors of the nonprofit AELIA have now become our executives or members of our Board or instructors, while several of our mentees, who benefited from our mentoring in the early aelian years, have become partners & executives (Konstantina) or have served as our instructors from time-to-time (Effie, Vasiliki, Anastasios, Anastasia B, Anastasia A, Renata, Maria).
🤗 At the heart of these programs lies our new form of mentoring: individual consultations. --These consultations, delivered by our skilled AELIAN instructors, are based on the same approach of care, advisory support and action-oriented guidance that have defined us from the start. They address employees’ unique challenges, supporting their upskilling journeys and enabling them to exercise their skills effectively.
