Our L&D Studio community kicked off summer strong with our 4th Ask & Share session of 2025. This time, we zoomed in on a theme that’s gaining traction:
L&D needs — Gen Z vs. millennials. 🌱
This session was joined by community members Katerina Mygiaki (Up Hellas), Maria Xenochristou (Skroutz), and Maria Agelada (DIAS — Interbanking Systems) for a candid exchange on generational preferences, patterns, and (possibly) clichés when it comes to engaging in L&D initiatives.
💡 While research points to differences in motivation and learning behaviors across generations, participants agreed: context, role, and personality often outweigh age alone.
Our conversation touched on several key questions:
🔸 What drives participation in L&D programmes across generations?
🔸 What motivates Gen Z, and how can we attract their interest?
🔸 Is there hesitation among Gen X and Millennials, and what helps overcome it?
🔸 Does generational background influence the preference for group vs. self-paced learning?
A big thank you to our 3 participants for sharing their insights and experiences.
Here’s to more Ask & Share sessions ahead!
