Ianthi Stergiou is a dedicated scholar with a profound passion for delving into gender dynamics within politics and society. With specialised training in designing and implementing gender equality policies, she brings a nuanced perspective to policymaking processes.
Since early 2023, she has been fulfilling dual roles at AELIA. As a career specialist, she offers personalised mentoring, crafting tailored career paths to unlock individuals' full potential. Simultaneously, in her capacity as an L&D project manager, she supports the development of tools to aid in business and personal growth.
About Ianthi
Ianthi holds a BA in Political Science and Public Administration from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, alongside an MA in Intelligence and International Security from King’s College London and another MA in Gender, Society, and Representation from UCL. Currently pursuing her PhD in Gender and Politics at Birkbeck, University of London, her academic journey is complemented by hands-on experience.
She has served as an Associate Tutor at Birkbeck (UoL) leading seminars for around 40 post-graduate students in the Modern British Politics module and offering constructive feedback to enhance their L&D journey. Alongside this role, she has worked as a career coach and L&D trainer in various UK organisations, including The Faith and Belief Forum, FBFYC, Future Frontiers, and the Shine Initiative. Additionally, she has contributed as a junior researcher intern at esteemed Greek organisations, such as the Institute of International Economic Relations, the "Konstantinos G. Karamanlis" Foundation, the Institute of International Relations, and the Greek team of the ENEC project.
Committed to fostering inclusivity, Ianthi is driven to create a more equitable future. Outside academia, she finds joy in volleyball and martial arts, holding a red/black belt in Hapkido.
