Mara is an active contributor to professional development initiatives, Mara was the very first affiliate to join AELIA in 2013. Since then, she has coordinated and facilitated action-based workshops focused on soft skills empowerment, economic empowerment, and employability acceleration. Additionally, she has co-founded Science-2-Business, an organisation dedicated to supporting scientists, sciencepreneurs, universities, and innovative companies in navigating the journey from lab to market.

Mara is an accomplished Attorney-at-Law and certified Mediator with a rich professional background. With 9 years of experience as in-house counsel in 2 major Greek banks and 6 years as a legal and tax advisor at a leading Big-4 consulting firm, Mara brings a wealth of expertise to the table.
Her practice encompasses a wide array of legal areas, including corporate law, corporate governance, compliance, regulations, contracts, legal strategies, and outsourcing. Mara has a proven track record of effectively managing legal and administrative functions within her areas of responsibility while delivering top-notch legal services to clients. Her key areas of specialisation include commercial law, company law, contract law, public law (including taxation and litigation on tax disputes), real estate law, and property law.
As a certified Mediator, Mara is committed to facilitating the resolution of business and private disputes through constructive negotiations aimed at achieving mutually beneficial solutions. She stands out as a reliable and integral team member, excelling in duty performance and leveraging her exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills in an ethical manner to establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and personnel across all professional environments.
Mara is a graduate of Athens University Law School, with postgraduate specialisation studies in tax law and a postgraduate degree in international financial and banking law. She is a proud member in good standing of the Athens Bar Association.
